Clary Fray: the heroine we know and love.
So discuss here what you think of her and what you think her role in the story adds to the plot.

I get what you mean.
But I'm just glad she's not a stereotypical heroine thrown into a situation. she's not constantly going "OMG help poor little old me." She can handle herself with help from others. but she doesn't seem weak.
But yes, when she distances herself from Jace? or when she doesn't slap sense into him at the end? slap her. haha

I totally agree, Clary is an awesome heroine to have, because she can handle herself, there are too many books with a weak female lead! I really wish she'd of hit Jace after the end of COA, I know I would have! I wish she'd of treated Simon differently too, she should never of been his girlfriend, they should have stayed just friends! I hope she keeps her awesomeness in COG

I think Clary is a great heroine too.
my only problem with her was at the end of CoA, when she clearly wanted to tell Jace, "screw society, let's do it our own way", but he cut her off and then she didn't say anything after. Up until that point, she'd been someone who would speak her mind regardless, but that...kinda made me a bit sad that she didn't stand up for herself there

i agree.. clary and jace belong together
and she obviously knows she ain really related to him considerin valentine nearly told her and that she even thinks he looks nothin like valentine, her mum and herself

She is great in all books.....but in some parts of the 3 books, she cares more about being included in some things rather than helping others.......but a lot of us get like that......oh come on....admit it! But she is a great heroine. She is confident (when she has to be) and cares for her friends (and family). I can't wait for City of Angels!
